FUEL ECONOMY: Meaghan Green, left, talks with Colin Huwyler, who converted her 2003 Volkswagen Jetta to use vegetable oil as fuel. The car uses diesel fuel to start the engine, but once the oil is heated to a certain temperature the very fuel efficient oil takes over and Meaghan has not noticed any difference in the performance of the car .
