BASEBALL: Jr. Wilson/VFW downs Pendleton.

The Junior Wilson/VFW Eagles rolled to a 10-3 Lockport A League victory over Pendleton on Tuesday behind the one hit, 16 strikeout performance of pitcher Jerod Preedom.

Preedom struck out the side in three of the seven innings and allowed only one hit which came in the first inning.

Preedom also helped himself at the plate by banging out two hits.

The Eagles, who benefited from 11 walks, managed a total of only four hits as Andy Hydock and Ken Urbanik had the other base raps.

Hydock had a two-run single in the first inning to get the Eagles going.

The Eagles are now 3-3 in Lockport A League competition and 5-9 overall which includes Western New York Traveling League contests.
