Town of Albion

CHILD ENDANGERMENT: Jennifer M. Pickett, 31, Albion was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child. According to the report, the arrest follows a complaint lodged by Orleans County DSS – Child & Family Services. The complaint alleges that Pickett has been smoking marijuana in the presence of her children, when they were in her care and custody. Pickett is scheduled to appear Feb. 20 in Town of Albion Court. Her children have been temporarily placed with other family members.

GANG ASSAULT: Kenneth R. Martin II, 24, James L. McCray, 29, Robert C. Wyant Jr., 30, Aaron Wilber, 30, and Dominic J. Charloten, 46, were all charged Wednesday with second-degree gang assault and fourth-degree conspiracy. According to the report, Investigator Corey Black charged the five individuals, who all are inmates at the Orleans County Jail, as a result of an investigation into a fight that occurred in the jail on Dec. 5. The five were arraigned in Town of Albion Court where they were released on their own recognizance and returned to the County Jail. Another former county jail inmate will be charged at a later date for his involvement in the incident.

ROBBERY: Orlando Hernandez, 19, was charged Wednesday with third-degree robbery, menacing and petit larceny. According to the report, Hernandez stole $286 from the North Main Street Yellow Goose Wednesday evening but was found by police after an initial investigation.
