Creativity is the common theme that made Samantha Stillinger of Lyndonville and Barbara Grimes of Medina the winners of Yates Community Library’s logo and slogan contest.
The contest, announced in October, sought an original logo and a short phrase to convey the library’s mission of providing for the recreational reading and information needs of all ages.
Stillinger won for her logo of the world with a person reading on a stack of books. Grimes won for her slogan “Go to the library and let the world come to you.” Both winners received awards of $50 from the library.
The contest was sponsored by the library’s board of trustees. The trustees thanked everyone who submitted contest entries. All entries will be displayed at the library throughout the summer.
