Three BOCES students took home Skills USA scholarships at closing ceremonies at the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center.
The winners are Lauren Zulick, a senior in the Orleans/Niagara BOCES health occupations technician program; Demetrius Grant, a senior in the computer technology program; and Ashley Austin.
Zulick and Grant attend Lockport High School, and Austin attends Royalton-Hartland High School. All are members of Skills USA, an organization that provides quality education experiences for career and technical education students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development.
Zulick and Grant will be attending Niagara County Community College this fall. Zulick will study to become a registered nurse and Grant will study early childhood education.
Austin will attend Genesee Community College to study early childhood education.
