MEDINA — Gathering together to learn about preservation, MPower Medina held a video presentation Wednesday, showing “Save Our Land, Save Our Towns.”

The video told the story of several American towns and what they have done right and wrong in terms of building. It also gave examples of how the towns can be rebuilt and the countryside persevered.

“It went great,” said MPower Medina member Cindy Robinson. “It was the first time I saw the video and it was interesting. Very informative.”

Robinson said that the video was a good way to get more people involved in preserving Medina. This video was the first of three the group will be showing at the Shirt Factory Cafe.

Code Enforcement Officer Marty Busch, who first saw the videos and suggested bringing them to Medina, said that the next video will focus on “Main Streets” across the United States. Though they do not know the exact date, the next video will be shown in the middle of July and the third will be shown in August.

Busch said that the group plans to show the videos again this winter and encourage elected officials, planning and zoning board members to attend, since they are who have the power to help implement the changes needed.
