MEDINA — Do you think you know Medina? Now is your time to prove it. Each week we will be running a series of six pictures, highlighting the Village of Medina. Set at different and unusual angles, each picture has been designed to challenge the reader. Pictures will focus on buildings, architecture and attractions found in or near the downtown area.
Six pictures will run in every Friday edition from Jan. 29 through Feb. 26. To enter, fill out the ballot with the correct answers and bring it in to The Journal-Register, 541-543 Main St., by 5 p.m. the following Wednesday.
Each week one winner will be drawn to receive a basket of prizes from Downtown Medina businesses. Each basket is worth more than $60 in prizes to local restaurants, shopping and more. Entrees not drawn or entrees that do not identify all six pictures correctly will go in for two second chance prizes to be drawn March 4.
In case you need help, in every Monday edition, clues will be given for the six pictures somewhere in the paper. Though not the answer, clues may tell you the history behind what's in the picture, a detail about its location or what takes place there.
Every Thursday, the answers to the previous week’s puzzle and the winner will be announced in the paper. Pictures of the building or attraction will also be included.
People may enter as many times as they would like per week. All entrees must be on official ballets; no photocopies will be accepted.
So, how well do you know Medina, its businesses, architecture and attractions? Now is the time to find out. Make sure to keep your eyes open and don't forget to take a second look.
