FRAUD: Nancy M. Ryan, 34, 314 Sunset Dr., Holley, was charged Nov. 25 with third-degree arson and second-degree insurance fraud. Ryan was arrested on an Orleans County Court indictment warrant after a six-month investigation into a May 15 house fire at 16715 Kenmore Road, Kendall.
ASSAULT: John E. Nichols, 48, 5025 E. Shelby Road, Medina, was charged Nov. 25 with second-degree assault. Deputy Jeff Robinson charged Nichols after an investigation into a Nov. 24 incident at a residence on Platten Road in the Town of Carlton. It is alleged that Nichols struck an individual several times in the head with a hammer. Nichols was arraigned in Kendall Town Court, where he was remanded to Orleans County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. An order of protection was issued for the victim.
