Medina
• MARIJUANA: Garrett L. Strickland, 17, 519 Beach Drive, was charged Jan. 29 with unlawful possession of marijuana.
• HARASSMENT: Megan L. Gibson, 17, 111 Chestnut St., was charged Thursday with second-degree harassment. Gibson is scheduled to appear March 8 in Medina Village Court.
Hartland
• CHARGED: Melissa J. Newbury, 24, 953 Hudson Ave., Rochester, was charged Sunday with endangering welfare of child. At 12:25 a.m. the patrol responded to Hartland Road for the report of a female walking a 6-month-old baby in a stroller southbound from 2297 Hartland Road. The patrol located Melissa and her husband walking a stroller that contained a baby. It was 4 degrees and the trio was immediately placed inside a patrol vehicle. According to the husband, Melissa became involved in a verbal argument with the homeowner and his wife left the residence with their child. The husband said he tried to stop Melissa from leaving. The baby was wrapped in a thin blanket and was wearing a jacket. The baby was released to his father and were both transported back to 2297 Hartland Road with the homeowner’s permission. Patrol requested Rural Metro to transport the mother for a mental evaluation. She was later transported to Medina Memorial Hospital and issued an appearance ticket.
