Lyndonville native is an ironman

Soccer was his sport during his scholastic and collegiate days at Lyndonville High School and Roberts Wesleyan College, but over the past couple of years Lyndonville native Scott Bradley has taken on the most challenging Ironman competition.

Bradley, who still keeps his hand in soccer by coaching the girls varsity team at Wayne Central where he is the student interin program adviser, competed in several half triathlons before recently competing in his first full Ironman competition at the Cozumel, Mexico Triathlon.

He made a sparkling debut finishing 176th out of 2,131 competitors and was ninth out of 161 male competitors in his 25-29 age group. The competition included a 2.4 mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a 26.2-mile run (full marathon distance).

His next triathlon competition will be in Louisville this summer.
