SOFTBALL: Albion tops CSAT 10-2.

MIDDLEPORT —

Roy-Hart and Albion both posted victories Monday to improve to 3-0 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.

In the other N-O games, Barker (2-1) downed Newfane (0-3) 19-5 and Wilson (1-2) blanked Akron (2-1) 4-0.

Trailing 1-0, Roy-Hart moved on top to stay by scoring twice in the bottom of the third inning on a lead-off double by Olivia   Kelkenberg, a single by Lindsay Yates, a wild pitch and  sacrifice by Ashley Bower.
A walk and a bunt single then helped to set up what proved to be the winning run in the fourth inning for Roy-Hart which also   tallied once in the fifth on a single by Bower and a fielders choice play.
Medina did get a rally going in the top of the seventh cutting the deficit to 4-2 as Stormi Kruger led off with a triple and   came home on an error. The Mustangs then got two runners aboard via a single by Jennifer Molisani and a walk but both were   left stranded as Fry bore down to get out of the jam with three clutch game ending strikeouts.
The Lady Rams next host CSAT at 4:45 this afternoon and will be wearing teal jerseys in a tribute to their former teammate   Meghan Redenbach who passed away in December of 2010 from cancer.

The Purple Eagles added three runs in the fifth frame as Jurs, Knaak and Ali O’Hearn all drove in runs.

BARKER — Exploding for seven quick runs in the first inning, Barker went on to defeat Newfane 19-5 Monday as the Lady Raiders   pounded out  a total of 15 hits.
