Barker/Roy-Hart griddersearn B East Div. honors

Medina Journal-Register — Four Barker/Roy-Hart players have been named to the first team of the B-East Division All-Star football squad.

That quartet, which helped lead Barker/Roy-Hart to a 6-3 overall record, includes senior running backs Brett Cole and Brad Bobbit, junior quarterback/defensive back Jacob Haight and senior lineman Nick Bachman.

Cole, who scored a total of 13 touchdowns, rushed for 907 yards and caught 12 passes for 244 yards. He also completed two touchdown passes. On defense, he had two fumble recoveries, one interception and made 16 tackles.

Bobbit, who scored a total of eight touchdowns, rushed for 802 yards and caught eight passes for 94 yards. He made 32 tackles and had two interceptions and one fumble recovery on defense.

Haight passed for 505 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 44 yards and six touchdowns. He scored a total of seven touchdowns and also kicked four field goals and punted for a 31 yard average. On defense, he had eight interceptions and made 71 tackles.

Bachman, a two-way lineman, made 35 tackles.

Barker/Roy-Hart had a trio of second team honorees including defensive lineman Clayton Smith and linebackers Tucker Ruhlen and Travis Kelkenberg, all seniors.

Barker/Roy-Hart also had two honorable mention selections in Judd Jamieson and Lukas Hanssen, both seniors.
