Moving on top to stay with an 11-2 run to close the first half, Holley went on to defeat Lyndonville 68-58 Thursday in a Genesee Region League game.
Sage Hodge scored a game high 23 points while Camron Quaranto netted 17 and Kyle Bell 16 to lead the way for Holley.
Jiaqwan Dash tallied 21, Matt Hungerford 19 and Austin Bane 14 for Lyndonville. Hungerford also had 22 rebounds and five blocks.
Getting six points from Hodge and five from Bell, Holley grabbed a 12-9 lead at the end of a sea-saw first quarter. Dash netted six in the early going for Lyndonville.
The Tigers opened the second quarter with a 6-2 run on two buckets by Hungerford and one by Jimmy White to rally into what proved to be their last lead at 15-14.
However, Holley answered right back with a decisive 11-2 run, including four each by Hodge and Will Barniak, to regain the lead for good by a 25-17 margin at the half.
The Hawks boosted their advantage to 46-31 at the three-quarter mark as Bell scored seven and Hodge six in the third period.
Hungerford netted nine for Lyndonville during that stretch.
Quaranto then scored eight and Hodge six for Holley in the final stanza while Dash tallied 13 and Bane nine for Lyndonville.
Kendall 61, Attica 49
ATTICA — Preston Vick scored 18, Matthew Edick 14, Mike Nauden 13 and Mookee Nauden 10 to lead Kendall past host Attica 61-49 in another G-R contest.
Kendall held leads of 12-10 after one quarter, 29-21 at the half and 48-35 after three quarters.
