Wilson, Albion spikershead All-League team

Medina Journal-Register — Champion Wilson and runner-up Albion have both placed two players on the first team of the Niagara-Orleans All-League volleyball squad.

Wilson, which captured a second straight N-O title with a 12-0 record, is represented by setter Lindsay Bryer and outside hitter Jordan Glosser, both seniors.

Albion has placed outside hitter Cady Messmer and middle blocker Eboni Taylor, both seniors.

Bryer, Glosser and Messmer are all repeat selections.

Rounding out the first team are Medina senior outside hitter Abby Button, Roy-Hart junior setter Eliza Schwab and Akron senior outside hitter Sada Logan.

Bryer, a six year varsity player who earned All-Western New York honors as a junior, had 391 assists this season along with 75 ace serves, 70 digs, 67 kills and five blocks.

Glosser, a three year varsity player, had 136 kills, 76 digs, 61 service aces and two blocks this season.

Messmer, a three year starter who earned first team All-WNY honors as a junior, had 283 kills, 174 digs, 62 aces, 28 assists and 18 blocks this season for the Purple Eagles.

Taylor, a two year starter, had 121 kills, 74 digs, 61 blocks, 41 aces and 12 assists this season.

Schwab, who ran Roy-Hart’s 5-1 offense this season (one setter), had 107 service points, 24 aces, 193 assists, 15 blocks and 96 digs.

Logan had 145 digs, 133 kills and 42 aces this season for the Lady Tigers.

Button, a two year starter, had 101 kills, 40 aces, 44 digs and 24 blocks for the Mustangs.

Albion is represented on the second team by feshman outside hitter Kelsee Soule, Medina by senior setter Jessica Rosenbeck and Roy-Hart by senior outside hitter Danielle Kindron.

The second team also includes Newfane junior libero Claire Puff, Akron senior middle blocker Alexis Kidder and Wilson senior outside hitter Kaylee Stuart.

Albion’s duo of senior libero Brieanna Dixon and junior middle blocker Brooke Wilson have earned honorable mention.

Medina has a trio of honorable mention selections including senior middle blockers Nakisha Jones and Alba Perez and junior outside hitter Jenna Carpenter.

Roy-Hart is represented by senior libero Brittany Zsebehazy, junior outside hitter Justine Wittcop and sophomore backcourt specialist Ayleen Brewer.
