Soccer All-Stars
Tigers have two First Team honorees, Eagles three
Champion Holley has placed four players on the first team of the annual Genesee Region League All-Star boys soccer squad.
The Hawks are represented by senior goalie Eddie Bower along with the junior trio of attackmen Caleb Orbaker and Brandon Comden and midfielder Nick Troup.
Lyndonville placed attackmen Joe Ianni and Cody Dix, both seniors, on the first team. The Tigers also had the senior trio of Jordan O’Connor, Jesse Follman and Jim Canne receive honorable mention.
Kendall is represented by the threesome of senior midfielder Eric Ritchie, junior attackman Joel Mendoza and junior defender Brandon Moore.
Bower, who earned G-R Player of the Year honors, registered 14 shutouts and had a goals against average of 0.45.
Comden had 14 goals and nine assists, Troup 10 goals and five assists and Orbaker 6 goals and nine assists to lead the Hawks’ balanced attack.
Ianni had 11 goals and four assists and Dix two goals and 14 assists for Lyndonville.
Mendoza had 12 goals and six assists, Ritchie six goals and one assist and Moore two goals for Kendall.
The first team also includes midfielder Dakota Longhini, defender Jeff Hollenbeck, attackman Justin Barrett, midfielder Justin Radley and defender Jeff List, all seniors from Byron-Bergen along with Attica senior attackmen Brandon Reiner and Ben Mullin.
