Seven pins sparked Medina to a 62-24 Senior night victory over visiting Wilson Wednesday.
In the other Niagara-Orleans League match, Roy-Hart defeated host Newfane 38-28 in a sea-saw battle.
Dustin Wells (103), Ryan Grey (135), CJ Ambrose (140), Tristan Hamner (152), Dominic Montesanti (160), Matt Gross (215) and Blade Garlow (285) all registered pins for Medina which improves to 2-1 in N-O action.
Frankie Hartway (1450 and Shane Kruger (171) both added major decision wins for the Mustangs which took 11 of the 15 bouts.
“We wrestled very aggressively and went out on the attack which is what we want to do to make things happen,” Medina coach Eric Gross said. “Overall we wrestled pretty well.”
Jeff McGee (125), Mitch Thrush (130) and Tighler Horvath (189) all registered pins for Wilson which slips to 0-3.
Roy-Hart 38, Newfane 28
NEWFANE — Pins by Travis Schultz (112), Alex Jensen (189), Theo King (285) and Troy Lawson (96), along with a technical fall win by Matt McCauley (130), led Roy-Hart to the key win over Newfane.
Nate Martin (103) and Steve Lakes (145) notched pins for Newfane.
The Rams and Panthers are now both 2-1 in N-O competition.
