HOLLEY —
Scoring touchdowns on their first two possessions, the Medina Stallions went on to defeat the Holley Hawks 31-13 Friday in a Niagara Orleans Football Association Varsity Division game at Vets Park.
Brett Pecoraro scored on touchdown runs of four and 48 yards to spark the Stallions out to a quick 12-0 lead.
The Stallions advantage jumped to 25-0 at the half on second quarter TD carries of 15 yards by Josh Scroger and 43 by Jonah Drisdom.
A third quarter touchdown pass from Jared Zinkievich to Chase Pecoraro ballooned the Medina lead to 31-0.
Now at 2-0, the Stallions also got a big effort from the defense as Jacob Luczak had two interceptions and Scroger one.
The Hawks scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter on runs by Shane DiPilato and Adam Stetzel as James Baker added an extra point.
Colts 32, Holley 0
First quarter touchdowns by Izaiah Rhim, Dae’shawn Grace and Christian Silversmith sparked the Medina Colts to a 32-0 over the Holley Hawks Saturday at Vets Park in a Mini Division contest.
Ricky Pitts Jr. also had two second half touchdowns and a pair of extra points for the 2-0 Colts.
Defensively for the Colts, Blaire Prest had a sack and Sebastian Fisher a fumble recovery.
Broncos 40, Holley 14
A barrage of five early touchdowns on runs of 46 yards by Justice Snook, 40 by Jake Cotter, 60 by Lucas Porter, 10 by Damon Cogovan and 80 by Trenton Jones sparked the Medina Broncos to a 40-14 win over the Holley Hawks Saturday in a JV Division contest.
Snook also scored the Broncos lone second half touchdown.
Da’John Brown added two extra points and Porter caught a two-point conversion pass from Cotter as the Broncos improve to 2-0.
Ryan Andrews scored two fourth quarter touchdowns for Holley.
Bar-Lyn Raiders 13, Pembroke 6
A last minute 98-yard touchdown run by Eddie Schildt earned the Bar-Lyn Raiders a thrilling 13-6 JV Division win over Pembroke Saturday.
