ALBION —
Charlotte (West) Beales, age 92, died on November 16, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1920 in Kendall, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Judd) West and had lived in this area all of her life.
Charlotte was a member of the Albion First Baptist Church and she was also a former member of Abeel Rebekah Lodge of Albion. She had worked for 13 years at the cosmetics department at Peterson's Drugs in Albion and had retired from there in 1983. Charlotte had graduated from Albion High School Class of 1938.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton, in 1998. She is survived by her son, Spencer (Dawn Fairbanks) Beales of Batavia; her daughter, Mary Anne (Keith) Dudley of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Jacob and Mark Dudley, Sarah, Joseph, Amy, Austin, Kyley Beales; her brother, Dean (Betty) West of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., Albion, on Monday (Today) from 2-4 PM, where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in West Ridgeway Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Albion First Baptist Church.
