David L. Foster

MEDINA —  

David L. Foster, of Medina, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home. Mr. Foster was born in Albion, May 11, 1926, the son of the late Earl and Doris (Cooper) Foster.
A US Navy veteran, he served during World War II on the USS Princeton. He was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, as a line foreman, for thirty-eight years, retiring in 1985. A member of Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #139, he enjoyed bowling and traveling, especially to Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; three sons, Paul (Karrie) Foster, Brian (Norma Jean) Foster and Jeff (Deborah) Foster; a step-daughter, Sandy Thaine; a step-son, Monty (Diane) Hartman; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Saturday (4-7 PM) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where his funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 PM. Rev. Michael Stephenson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, POB 489, Albion, NY  14411-0489.
