Kenneth S. Dunn

LYNDONVILLE —  

Kenneth S. Dunn, of Lyndonville, died on December 4, 2012. Kenny, who was affectionately known as "Parker" to his friends,  was born in Medina on April 3, 1970, a son of Irene (Siwirski) Dunn and the late Weldon E. Dunn.
A graduate of Medina High School, Class of 1988, he was employed by the Village of Medina Department of Public Works from 1986-1994 and worked in the Public Safety Office, as a dispatcher, from 1993-1994. He was a Medina Callman from July, 1988-1994 and became a proud Medina Firefighter at the Medina Fire Department from 1994-2007. Kenny was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Club, Jr. Wilson's Sportsman Club, VFW Post 1483, enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and Syracuse Orangemen. Kenny was an excellent chef starting his lifelong love of cooking at the Colonial Inn & Tavern at age 14. Basketball and softball were his passions and he loved to dance. Above all, he was a wonderful caregiver to his father, a loving son, brother and uncle to his family and a loyal friend.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Dunn; beloved brother of Jeanne (Carl) Tuohey, Sandra (James) Russell, Nancy (David) Bracey, Julie (Bill) Maryjanowski and Walter Dunn; loving uncle to Tim, Brian, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jack, Whitney, Cris, Abigail, Brooke, Kayla, Emily, Sam, Will, Wyatt and Mason.
Friends may call on Sunday (4-8 PM) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church officiated by the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls. Interment will be in Boxwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knights/Kaderli Memorial Fund.
