ALBION —
Frances A. "Peggy" DiMatteo, age 86, died, suddenly, November 18, 2012, at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born July 20, 1926 in Albion, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Anna (Pecorella) Clementi. Peggy had lived in Albion all her life and was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was a former employee of T.J. Lipton and a member of the Lipton Retirees. After retiring from T.J. Lipton, she owned and operated Peggy's Boutique in Albion for over 20 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mario, of 61 years; son, James (Jennifer Welch) DiMatteo of Middleport; daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Hughson of Albion; grandchildren, Jimmy (Melissa) DiMatteo, Jeremy (Brandi) DiMatteo, Kylie (Jeremy Graham) Hughson, Kellie Hughson; great-granddaughter, Peyton Jane DiMatteo and two great-grandchildren due in December; sister, Mary Ryan of Rochester; nieces, Lynn (Michael) Mino, Eileen Morse; nephew, Sam Barone; several great-nieces and nephews; cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Tuesday from 4:30-8:30 PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church, Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish.
