Earl W. "Yogi" Parker

ALBION — Earl W. "Yogi" Parker, age 70, of Gaines Basin Road, died November 19, 2012 in Strong Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.  He was born May 18, 1942 in Albion to Clyde and Grace (Marshall) Parker and had lived in this area his entire lifetime.

Yogi was an employee of Eastman Kodak Company, retiring after 32 years. He enjoyed working, golfing and bowling, but treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he adored and were the light of his life.  

He is survived by his wife of 46  years, Peggy; his son, Mark (Rhonda) Parker of Albion; his daughter, Anita (Todd) Finley of Albion; brothers, Dan (Dawn) Parker of Albion; Fred (Donna) Parker of Brockport; David Parker of Clarendon; Ned (Valerie) Parker of Webster; sister, Alice (George)VanDerstow of Hamlin; grandchildren, Charlotte, Noah and Wesley Parker; Jack Finley; several nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Chuck Hughson, Maurice Hoag and the gang at Tim Hortons.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Avenue, Albion, SATURDAY, December 1, 2012, from 12-1 PM, where his funeral service will be held following visitation at 1 PM. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.
