William F. "Bill" Squires

CANANDAIGUA — William F. Squires died peacefully at his home in Canandaigua on Saturday, March 9, 2013. He was 63. Bill was born in Louisville, KY to William and Carolyn (Powers) Squires and graduated from Wellsville schools. He enlisted in the US Army and was an infantryman assigned to Korea. He was a handyman throughout his working life and was a talented woodcarver.

He was predeceased by his father and two siblings, James Squires and Peggy Squires. He is survived by his children, Eileen (Patrick) Connelly, Mary Sue Bradley and Luke Squires; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his mother, Carolyn of Albion; brothers, Daniel and Calvin (Heather); sister, Linda (Kevin) Doherty; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in Canandaigua later this month and a graveside service will be held in Wellsville at the convenience of the family. Memorials are suggested to the Volunteer Services Fund, general account 1627 at the VA Medical     Center in Canandaigua, NY 14424. Arrangements by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion.
