MEDINA —
Jessie M. Domoy, 96, of Medina, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, after a long illness. Born August 6, 1916 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Eleanor Mazur.
Jessie married the late Frank Domoy in 1936 and settled in Medina. She attended the Catherine McCauley School of Nursing, Batavia, NY, becoming a License Practical Nurse. She worked as a LPN for Medina Hospital and later for Dr. Harvey J. Blanchet, Jr. She was a member of the Sacred Heart/Holy Family Parish. She was actively engaged in the running the family farm and enjoyed hunting, flower gardening and painting.
Jessie is survived by a son, Francis (Diane) Domoy of Oakfield, NY; two grandchildren, Brett (Melissa) Domoy of Medina and Kirsten Domoy of Boston, MA; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Mackenzie Domoy; three siblings, Josephine Seitz, Helen Mazur and Stephen Mazur, all of Medina; also several nieces and nephews. Jessie is predeceased by four siblings, Frank and Henry Mazur, Virginia Levanduski and Stephanie Cherry.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St., Medina, NY from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls officiating. Burial will be private for the family. Memorials may be made in Jessie's name to Medina Memorial Foundation, 200 Ohio St., Medina, NY 14103.
