Charles H. Persons

BARRE —  

Charles H. Persons, age 74, died on November 4, 2012 at Lakeside Memorial Hospital.  He was born on September 1, 1938 in Margaretville, NY, a son of the late Harold, Sr. and Cora (Williams) Persons and had lived in this area most of his life.
Charles had served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the VFW Strickland Post of Albion. He was a lifetime member of the Barre Fire Company and had worked for the Barre Highway Department for over 35 years. Charles loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, in 2004; and his daughter, Cora, in 2008. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Steve Rouse) Blake of Albion, Cassandra (Scott) Persons Baird of Kent; his son, Charles H. III (Becky) of Medina; grandchildren, Teri (Kevin Dutton) Beecher, Stephanie (Jacob Preston) Persons, Kimberly Persons, Aaron Sipple, Jacob and Jared Hollinger; great-granddaughters, Annaleec and Abigail; brother, Harold, Jr. (Elsie) of OH; several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws; and very special neighbors, Wayne and Maggie, Lori and Dave, Tina and Randy.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 W. Ave., Albion, on Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, where his Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM.  Burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery with full Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Barre Fire Co. or to C.O.V.A.
