Shirley A. Ritter passed away, quietly, in her home on November 9, 2012.
Shirley was born on January 6, 1925 in the town of Auburn, NY, daughter of the late Winfield Weller, Sr. and Martha (Pelton) Weller. She was also predeceased by her brother, Winfield Weller, Jr.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and loved them all very much. She collected owl figurines/items and her favorite flowers were yellow roses and pansies. Her favorite color was lavender and her favorite candy was NECCO wafers and black jelly beans. She disliked raw tomatoes and anything peppermint flavored. Her all-time favorite food was banana splits.
Surviving family are her children, Sharon (William) Allen, Arthur (Joann) Ritter and Carl Ritter; eight grandchildren, Barbara (Jim) Anderson, William (Suzanne) Allen, Patricia (Carlos) Allen, Amy (Kevin) Ward, Christine (Seth) Weise, Michelle (Mark) Baker, Nicole (Daniel) Lovejoy, Carl Ritter II and 15 great-grandchildren.
There will be no prior visitation. A celebration of life will be held later at the family's convenience. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans, Inc., 14080 Route 31 West, P.O. Box 489, Albion, NY 14411.
