Robert Martin, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. Roberts service will take place at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Robert was born on February 20, 1926 in Belfast, Ireland. He was a Broadcaster for WXXI, volunteered to drive the elderly around to appointments and received an award for his volunteerism from the Greece Chamber of Commerce.
Robert is survived by his son, David (Donna) Martin of State College, PA; daughter, Betsy (Michael Pantano) LaMere of Kent, NY; grandchildren, John (Amanda King) LaMere, Jr., Heather LaMere, Allanah (Patrick Joksimovic) LaMere and Michaela Pantano. He was predeceased by his wife, Minteoria Martin, on April 29, 2007.
