Leonard P. Campobello

BATAVIA —  

Leonard P. Campobello, age 100, of Clarence, formerly of Batavia, died on January 2, 2013 at Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehab Center in Clarence. Born on November 30, 1912 in Batavia, the son of the late Salvatore and Margaret (Mondo) Campobello.
Mr. Campobello was a farmer for many years. He was a past member of Resurrection Parish-St. Marys Church, the St. Nicholas Club and the Elks Club.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Viola M. (Wasnock) Campobello, who passed in 2005; siblings, Josephine (Ross) Campesi, James Campobello, Russell (Mary Vangalio) Campobello, Mary (Charles) Sciacca, Sam (Mary Tassone) Campobello, Sadie Gennaro, Harry and Rosario Campobello. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Anthony Gennaro; sister-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior calling hours. Prayers will be recited at 10:15 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY, 14020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Parish-St. Josephs Church, 303 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place in St. Josephs Cemetery, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehab Center, 10570 Bergtold Road, Clarence, NY 14031. Arrangements completed by Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, NY 14020.
