Angel "Andy" K. Papadinoff died peacefully at his home in Medina, surrounded by his family on November 2, 2012. Andy was born on November 19, 1928 in Elma, NY, to Kostantin and Vera Papadinoff. He was a graduate of Medina High School and also received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He was employed as a Professional Engineer for over 40 years with Cold Spring Construction Co., Akron, NY.
Andy is survived by Rose Marie, his wife of 59 years and their five children and spouses, Ann-Marie, Mike (Debbie), Tom (Sally), Mary Ann (David) and Joanne. He is also survived by his sister, Margery (Hubert Smith); grandchildren, Ryan and Katherine; and many nieces and nephews.
Andy was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Andy loved his life and lived it to its fullest even enduring the challenge of Parkinson's disease in his later years. The quality of Andy's life was greatly enhanced by the care he received through Hospice, especially nurses, Kirsten and Missy and aides, Liza, Wendy and Terry.
Friends may call on Tuesday (4-7 PM) at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center Street, Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, VFW and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Orleans County, Inc.
